THOMAS SABO Ice Crew

Reinforcements for the THOMAS SABO Ice Tigers: since the end of November 2012, the DEL (German Ice Hockey League) team has been supported by the “THOMAS SABO Ice Crew” at all home games.

The role models for this crew are the so-called “Ice Girls” in the North American National Hockey League (NHL), who perform in the third breaks and game interruptions. Equipped with snow shovels, flags and pompons, the THOMAS SABO Ice Crew dashes onto the ice before the game and during the breaks, thrilling the crowds with little fan choreographies and promotional events.

The THOMAS SABO Ice Crew will be wowing the crowds at the Arena with their action-packed performances at all THOMAS SABO Ice Tigers home games and at the first DEL ‘Winter Game’ on January 5, 2013.

Viktoria Rebensburg

Viktoria Rebensburg has been an important fixture of the winter sports scene for many years now. She is currently considered one of the world’s most successful downhill ski racers and – in addition to her Olympic victory in Vancouver 2010 – was able to win the overall standings in the Giant Slalom World Cup in 2012, the very first German downhill ski racer to do so twice in succession. THOMAS SABO has been successfully sponsoring horse riding for many years now. As one of the main sponsors of the coveted EYCUP – European Youngster Cup – THOMAS SABO supports aspiring riding talents between the ages of 16 and 25 at international tournaments. In addition to this, the company also accompanies further major events such as “Pferd International” (Horse International) in Munich, the Bavarian championships and the German Youth Championships. THOMAS SABO has been the personal sponsor of Nicoletta Stein since 2006, who –with her hugely successful horses Landro and Asti – is about to start in the difficult horse jumping trials of the “Faszination Pferd” (Fascination Horse) event.

She is the shooting star of the German snowboard racing scene, with the Silver medal winner being sponsored by THOMAS SABO since July 2010. Her success story began at the 2006 Olympic Games when she won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom. Furthermore, she has two Junior World Champion runner-up titles, a silver medal at the 2007 World Championship and a win at the 2009 Overall World Cup under her belt, to name but a few of her greatest successes.

In 2012, the premiere of the Evolve Pro Tour marked the advent of an absolutely unique series of golf events. During games held throughout the winter months, golf players from more than 25 different countries – including top players from the European Tour, the Challenge Tour and the Satellite Tour – put their skills to the test. The Evolve Pro Tour was set up by Wayne Hachey, who looks back on many years in professional golf event management and, with the Evolve Pro Tour, has now created a high-impact platform for young aspiring golf players from across the globe such as Martin Kaymer and Marcel Siem, for example. The young, successful motorcyclist Kevin Hanus took his first spin on a pocket bike back in 2001, winning his first race a year later to become Central Franconian Champion.
Since 2008, he has also been taking part in the Internationale Deutsche Motorradmeisterschaft (IDM – International German Motorcycle Championship).
