Susanne Kölbli
Together with Thomas Sabo, and thanks to her design talent and unfailing and instinctive fashion sense, Susanne Kölbli has managed to revolutionise the silver jewellery market and turn THOMAS SABO into the leading company for Silver Jewellery & Accessories.
A native of Heidelberg, she studied graphic design and, after graduating, began her career as a freelance stylist for advertising agencies and jewellery companies, until she was discovered, and employed, by Thomas Sabo in the early-1990s. Since then, she has unleashed her design power to ever new heights as the company’s Creative Director.
Over the past few years, Susanne Kölbli has been able to repeatedly surprise and thrill the fashion world with her unique style. Her sense of humour, her never-ending wealth of ideas and her sensitivity for aesthetics are evident in all her designs. Susanne Kölbli is extremely demanding of both herself and her work and her empathy for optimal shapes, harmonious colours and materials are all clearly present in her home as well.
Discovery trips to faraway cultures and pulsating metropolises are a rich and endless source of inspiration. However, the focal points of her private life are Paris and Frankfurt, where she creates covetable jewels and gems for men and women from two centrally-located design studios.
In addition to her work, spending time with her husband and friends plays a very important role. And the THOMAS SABO staff also enjoy her warm and optimistic personality and her lively and cheerful nature.
